A live performer of exciting proportions, she has won several vocal competitions and is noted for her covers of Celine Dion and Whitney Huston
- Phillip Lid - singer/songwriter
He performs in live venues, and most recently he performed as Don Quixote in the SCCC Production “Man of La Mancha”. He is an accomplished singer, ranging from opera, blues and soft rock in addition to Broadway Showtunes. His new original soft rock album "I Believe In Love" and his spiritual album "He Is The Resurrection" will be available soon on iTunes
- Tom Askin - singer/songwriter
His album "Post" is available on eMusic and he can also be heard on the Alaskan album "Red Wheel Spinning"
- Adam Gilbert - singer/songwriter/arranger/record producer
Adam has a dynamic presence on the NYC club scene. His mold-breaking, envelope pushing brand of piano driven pop-rock has earned him comparisons to masters in the music business. Albums: "K-16" and"Fishing for Water" are available on iTunes
- Lee-Ellen Pisauro - singer/songwriter
"Everyone is given an opportunity in life - it's what you do with it that counts." This could be said to be the driving force behind her first album "Falling Up" available on iTunes and CD Baby
- Glen Zervas - singer/songwriter/producer
An extraordinary guitarist, Glenn blends his sound with the music of his life….Rock from the 70s through his most recent recording of acoustic guitar that uplifts the spirit with his tasteful and ultimately rewarding guitar sounds. Lynda is a performing artist and teacher from Sparta NJ. She has performed in many concert venues, including Carnage Hall, NYC; the New Jersey PAC; the Danbury "Ives Center" and many more.

Performing Arts Center
The Sussex County Community College Theater and the Performing Arts Club will be presenting an evening of music focused on Hope on Saturday, February 20th at 8PM at the Performing Arts Center. The event will feature several SCCC Students and Faculty, and is being supported by several campus organizations including the Catholic Club, the Criminal Justice Club, Campus Crusade for Christ, and the Hospitality Club. Admission is only $10, and all additional donations are welcome.
Several of the SCCC student performers are members of the Theater and Performing Arts Club and have starred in recent productions of “Man of La Mancha”, “Oklahoma!”, and are now rehearsing for the spring production: “Pirates of Penzance”. They are all accomplished singers and musicians, and will be presenting a variety of music, from the Beatles to the Broadway show, “Rent”.

Pope John XXIII Regional High School

Location: Pope John XXIII High School
Pope John XXIII Regional High School will present an evening of choral music on Saturday February 20th, at 7PM. Performances will include the Reverend George A. Brown Memorial School students, under the direction of Deborah O'Brien, as well as the Pope John's Women's and Men's Select Choirs, under the direction of Karen Scott. The groups will sing separately, and will combine their talents for the closing numbers. Brigid Rosendale, who has qualified for the Irish Dance World Championships in Scotland, will also be performing an Irish Step Dance. Read more at the NJ Herald.
Choir Director Scott has known Dr. Bonnet for several years from their work on the Board of Trustees for the New Jersey Crime Victims' Law Center, and has planned several fundraising concerts for that office. The Pope John community is proud to be involved with the Voices and Hearts for Haiti: A Sussex County Cares Festival and the Healing Haiti Fund. Admission to the concert will be sold for a $10 donation, and all additional donations to the Healing Haiti Fund's Santébus program are welcome.
Sparta High School juniors Jordan Pszonek and Shannon Karl organized a music night at Greene's Beans Cafe on February 5. Tickets were sold at at $5 a piece and additional donations were accepted. The event generated $587.69, which was given to the Healing Haiti Fund. Pictures here. |
